Impressive as they may be, hard skills alone are not enough. 

 

Harvard MBA, magna cum laude, civil engineer, ... admirable items we love to read on the CVs of candidate project or interim managers. Relevant industry experience—or even identical role experience—tends to blow one even further away. 

 

But the reality is that interpersonal skills like active listening, patience, modesty, perseverance, resilience, ... are at least as crucial for a truly succesful mission!
